Why organic cotton?

In Sin + we use organic cotton because it does not harm the land where it is grown or the health of the farmers. In the production of organic cotton, no type of chemical is used in its cultivation, this is achieved with a rotation technique. Organic cotton improves the fertility of the soil and protects the surface of the earth, besides consuming less water than in the production of conventional cotton. In addition, organic cotton does not harm your skin because it is free of any toxic substance. This is the only way we guarantee intimate garments with unparalleled softness.

In the cultivation of conventional cotton more than 10% of the world’s pesticides and about 25% of the world’s insecticides are used.

Conventional cotton plantations represent roughly 3% of the planet’s cultivated area.

In these crops, the soil is less absorbent, which requires larger amounts of water. Cotton is a plant that has average water requirements of 1000mm, throughout its cycle.

Certified GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)

Our fabrics are GOTS certified (Global Organic Textile Standard) certifying that the cotton used in the manufacture of our fabrics is grown without chemicals and is transformed and dyed without using prohibited toxic substances. The cotton we use in our garments complies with strict social criteria based on the standards of the ILO (International Labor Organization).
